We understand that women are good entrepreneurs and also reliable resource man a g e r s . W e a r e constantly working to support their growth at POWER.

To be a leading NGO in Africa working for the eradication of extreme poverty among women through evidence-driven livelihood enhancement initiatives, enterprise development and capacity building.

Our Focus

  • Sustainable Economic Empowerment for Women
  • Advocacy and protection of Women's right.
  • Supporting increase in Women's participation in government and polity.
  • Supporting Enabling Policy and Social Environment for Women.
  • 6000 widows EMPOWERED with entrepreneurial skills and financial support.

  • 450 women cooperatives were setup ie creation of 4500 Agribusiness owners.

  • 93 abandoned babies were saved and settled in homes

  • 180 street children were taken off from the street

  • 250 female candidates were supported to be elected into various political positions

  • Over 70 Abandoned pregnant teenage girls were rehabilitated

PROJECT AWAKE


An agricultural empowerment initiative. Project AWAKE develops and implements Agric- financing programme for farmers & commodity brokers.

Mothers Against Child Abandonment (MACA)


A resettlement home for the rehabilitation and reintegration of vulnerable children taken off the streets.

Giving Life Options to Widows (GLOW)


A project that gives financial and incomegenerating skills and opportunities to indigent widows to secure their livelihoods.

POWER Political Advancement for Women (PPA4W)


A project designed to equip and empower women with knowledge and capabilities to access and achieve political inclusion, and ensure that women are accountable to those who elected them.

POWER WOMAN
PROJECT

project focuses on mentoring, coaching, sensitising, advocating and guiding young females, from ages 18 years and above to be more aware of the importance of becoming more actively involved in decision making in our Nation through increasing their participation in politics and government.

This project will groom future national decision makers and leaders, by passing on leadership & decision making skills while also ensuring that women are available and ready to participate in the very important choice of who their leaders are and where interested be motivated to aim for positions of influence, leadership, decision making both in the polity & in the boardroom. We are by this project set to achieve the sustainable development goals 1 & These are the ones titled ‘THE POWER WOMAN’.
